This resort was beautiful and we enjoyed our time here. We were there in January of 2022. The kayak trip to the cave is free and was one of our favorite parts. Our tour guide (Steven may have been his name?) was so friendly and informative! I would definitely recommend making a reservation for the 0800 guided tour in the morning. We also saw humpback whales in the bay from our resort! Our room was very nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable. There were about 5 restaurants that were all very good, and they were about to open one other. This resort is quite large and spaced out with lots of stairs, but they have a trolley constantly taking guests to different parts of the resort. We did get asked to do the marketing pitch to buy a membership, which we turned down multiple times. This resort is also located about 20 minutes from the boardwalk ($10 cab ride), so it is nice to be away from the downtown area. One negative is that even though it says they have a private beach there are still people walking up and down the beach constantly trying to sell you things and locals using the beach. The vendors have to stay behind a rope and will usually stop asking you to buy something after you tell them no once, but there are quite a few there. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and everyone we spoke to said this is one of the best resorts in the area. If we go back to Puerto Vallarta we would stay here again.
