I’ve stayed at the Emblem Hotel Prague before and returned this time to a warm welcome with a handwritten note and chocolates – a lovely touch that I really appreciated. The staff are friendly and the location is absolutely the hotel’s best feature, right in the heart of the city. The spa and massage are a nice addition, though even with the massage discount the price feels very premium.
Compared to my last stay about a year ago, the hotel seems a little tired – or perhaps I was unlucky with my room. On arrival, the room had a faint sweaty smell, and the shower dripped through the night. The hairdryer didn’t work either; I requested a replacement and reception noted it down, but unfortunately it was never delivered.
On the positive side, the bar remains a very nice spot to unwind. Overall, I would consider returning, but at £350 a night I felt the value didn’t quite match the price this time around.
