There was no issue with regards to the building or the room and the location was convenient, by car, however I did have issues with: 1. The lack of air conditioning and being told the fan system (with no room control) was the air conditioning. It was during a heatwave which was not usual, however for the price of the accommodation an air con was expected. 2. The man on reception upon checkout was rude and his mannerisms where very combative. I'm not clear if this was a language issue, however he did follow us outside to want to discuss the issue with regards to the lack of air conditioning and the fact that we were not satisfied with the room when we'd stated that we were leaving and didn't have time to discuss this further. 3. There was no disinfectant gel anywhere within the hotel, which is strange within these times. My wife and I traveled through 3 countries over the course of 14 days, therefore my review is based off our experiences comparing to other hotels we stayed in, which ranged between 2 and 5 star.

Bad location

The location is terrible. We couldn’t find the hotel based on the map of hotel.com. Not close to the train station and not close to the city center either. People working there are nice and friendly. The room is spacious but very dark.

Good Hotel.

The hotel is very cute and the room was comfortable. The bed we had was huge (perfect for me, my husband, and our toddler). The staff was very helpful and nice. I wish it was a little closer to the historic part of Ghent, but there is public transportation close that you can take. The hotel staff is happy to explain how to use the public transportation.

Pleasantly surprised that front desk was staffed upon arrival. Staff was very helpful and provided transit information and help for travel to city center. Great location if you are traveling by auto as they have parking and close location to tram.

A wonderful hotel. Super rooms very spacious. Wonderful staff. The only downfall is that they have no restaurant only a breakfast room. Have to get a taxi into Ghent city centre to find a good restaurant.

Enjoyable stay!

My family recently visited Ghent. We only stayed one day but really enjoyed. The room was large and easily fit the three adults. There was a kitchenette which we used to make coffee. The bathroom was a decent size. Parking was available. And there was a pool, sauna, and terrace but unfortunately no time to use them. The two ladies that worked in reception were both friendly and helpful. They had local information available for touring the small but beautiful city.
