The hotel appears to being a bit tired. Nearly all the staff are very helpful and friendly. The youngman with the trendy hairstyle is a bit surly. The restaurant is a bit unwelcoming. And the bar and it's prices! When you first arrive outside the hotel, you are greeted by a walkway of cigarette butts, not nice.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable and clean room. Easy to find and had parking on-site.

This hotel is fairly basic but the rooms are OK and the bathroom is roomy with a proper bath. The breakfast buffet was very good and there seemed to be quite a lot of local people coming to the hotel to enjoy their breakfast there. Unfortunately the restaurant had to close for a couple of days due to illness, but when we did eat there the food was good although we did have to wait some time for it to arrive.

Friendly reception, good advice on what's available locally. Hotel is well positioned for the tram into town or the 20 minute walk. Room a little basic but comfortable except for the carpet or floor covering which is the thinnest I have ever experienced.

What I liked: It was quiet with a peaceful view of the river. The desk staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and even had a refrigerator. What I didn't like: It was quite a walk from the train station OR from the city center. The flooring in our room was super uncomfortable -- like a plastic woven rug that you would use on a patio.

This was a nice room with good lighting and pretty good decor, etc. The view out the window was quite nice as well, right along the Leie river. The bed was two smaller beds. Not sure why that's done but it seems to be pretty common practice. I'd rather have just one bed. And it was pretty hammock-ish. But I got used to it. Friendly, helpful folks. I'd definitely stay here again.
