Gorgeous little pub and really friendly and helpful staff. Food in the evening was good. Only criticism I would have is the bread for the breakfast in the morning is really cheap bread. Avocado on toast was with sourdough but when it arrived it was cheap, thin bread and definitely not sourdough. Room was really nice and love the sea themed decor.

Lovely pub in heart of small village. Staff really friendly and helpful. The art mirrors are a nice touch as is the decor. I understand that each room has its own theme. We had the ‘red’ room. See photos

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant excellent, breakfast OK. No Netflix in our room, which was advertised, but not that important. Only there one night but the village looked nice. Overall, would warmly recommend the hotel.

The Lion Inn is an old building so one must make allowances for this which we did. The whole layout of the Inn is somewhat querky with dark coloured decor punctuated with glass wall displays which I assume were the work of Andrew Login, a local sculpture. The rooms were equally decorated in bright colours, each having a unique theme. The bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. All in all, we spent a very comfortable night with a good cooked breakfast in the morning.

Really enjoyed our one night stay here to break the journey home from celebrating our wedding anniversary for a couple of nights in liverpool. Staff were lovely, rooms were very quirky and colourful. Breakfast was ok. Would definitely recommend and will go back again if looking to stay in area.

Cracking little pub, located in stunning village. Lucky enough to stay over on one of their curry nights as well. Lovely breakfast and art room . Brilliant shower. Definitely would book again.

Our room (room two which was a deluxe double) was spacious, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean. The decor of the hotel is an acquired taste but it was fun for a change! Dinner was good although the quality of breakfast was very poor sadly.

The lion is a lovely hotel, clean,quiet,quirky in a delightful little village but still having everything you need. Prices were normal for food and drink, not o.t.t. and dogs welcome too. Would recommend this to travellers.

The staff were lovely and the breakfasts were scrumptious, even had their evening meals on both nights, which were beautifully cooked and very generous in portions. Would stay here again.
