Daytime manager demeanor is off-putting. I reserved a 2 night weekend stay. Upon check-in, I asked to cancel the second night. The evening clerk said that I would need to contact Hotels.com to do this as that is how I reserved my stay. I did so and they contacted the hotel and issued me a refund. The next am, when I turned in my keys, I was confronted by the manager saying I was still registered for the second night. I explained that I had cancelled via Hotels.com as instructed the evening before. I also showed her the emails from Hotels.com showing that the cancellation was done and a refund issued. She kept saying, “but in our system you are still here for another night. I explained that I’d done what I was asked to do by the evening check in host and couldn’t explain why it was still in their system, particularly with th the confirmation and returned partial payment. She then said, “ well, good luck with that “ as though she doubted my effort to cancel would be successful. Normally, I wouldn’t care about a conversation like this but with several family members living in the area and many relatives who have come into town for funerals recently, this manager’s unprofessional behavior and dismissive approach are reaching legendary status. It’s a shame because the hotel is very new, nice and serves a good breakfast
