The location is great and nearby the ferry pier. But the hotel is not in good maintenance at room, the toilet ceiling have a lot of dirty water marks, it looked disgusting. I booked a lakeview room that cost £250 a night, but not worth it, the room is really dilapidated, even they don't have a refrigerator at room, I needed to keep my birthday cake in their restaurant. The room price wss including the breakfast but it was lack of choice, they serve breakfast until 10:30 am, when I ordered scrambling egg with smoked salmon toast, they said no more but I saw other customers have it, I thought smoked salmon and egg are very common foods in a hotel restaurant, I wondered why they can tell me no more stocks. I just can say this hotel not worth for money, they are overpriced. Staffs are not really friendly.

All was good apart from the bed, thus the low mark for comfort, after mentioning it to staff we were given another room, which again was of excellent quality. We were delighted with all the staff in the hotel and its facilities

We went for the standard room, and was not disappointed. The room was clean and a good size. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant, which was very busy, but good service and good food. Advice is to book a table in the restaurant when you book your stay to make sure you get the time you want. The pool and changing facilities were top notch, very pleased with the maintenance and cleanliness of all areas. We have stayed here before this visit and will be staying again!

This hotel is just perfect. The staff as super friendly, even before you arrive, the rooms are clean, ours overlooked the outdoor seating area with a glimpse of Windermere, but you can upgrade for even better views. There were dressing gowns and slippers, fluffy white towels. The restaurant was very relaxing and breakfast offered a tremendous choice of fruit, yogurts, pastries which your ordered to your preference. We also ate in the restaurant on the evening with no complaints and enjoyed relaxing in the pool and saunas. Parking is easy too, simply obtain a pass from reception on arrival and it’s free next to the Aquarian for your duration. It is the staff that make this hotel great. Nothing felt too much trouble. Our stay was very memorable, the hotel offers luxury, comfort, elegance and superb service; will be definitely return and shall be recommending. The only negative was broken hairdryers in the ladies spa changing rooms.

Top notch!

The hotel was in a superb location with the ferry and steam train nearby to enable us to explore the lakes. The hotel was spotless and the staff extremely friendly. The food was top notch and service fantastic! They have got the ambience of the hotel off to a tee. Lovely subtle background music and warm inviting features and decor. The spa was the icing on the cake. Probably one of the best hotels we have stayed in.

Lakeside Luxury

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It has a wonderful setting and it is clear the hotel has undergone a nice renovation. [ I think it is still underway, but hidden away from the guests]. Though I didn't use them myself, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the spa facilities. All in all, a very nice hotel and we certainly be staying there again.

Brilliant hotel for the little time

Unfortunately we had to leave just after tea. On arrival Pip was at the reception very polite and friendly.. downside for Pip is that we had to leave early as we received a phone call.Pip was the person who we had to tell we were leaving.. Again very polite and concerned.. would seriously say that the hotel is brilliant you have walks, the boat up the lake is right opposite the front door and the aquarium.. so plenty of things to do or just to relax..we had a room that looked oveer the lake.. brilliant bed. Clean and tidy.. food was great, although slightly dear.. serving staff polite and friendly..

A perfect Windermere Retreat

Our recent two-night stay at the Lakeside Hotel & Spa proved to be the perfect retreat. Situated right on the shores of the stunning Lake Windermere, the location is simply breathtaking. What truly sets this hotel apart is its unique access to both the steam train and boats, offering convenient and scenic journeys to Bowness or a leisurely tour around the lake itself. Our dining experience on the first night was a pleasure. The food was well-cooked, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast each morning offered a plentiful selection, ensuring a great start to the day. Beyond the beautiful setting and delicious food, the hotel boasts excellent facilities. The games room, swimming pool, gym, and spa provide ample opportunities for relaxation and recreation. Overall, the Lakeside Hotel & Spa offers a truly memorable experience. The combination of its prime location, convenient transport links, friendly service, and excellent amenities makes it a destination I would wholeheartedly recommend and definitely plan to return to.

Not very good value for money.

Disappointed. Room (Lakeview Suite) needed a bit of an upgrade. Bed slanted. Dinner was quite nice. Service was odd. Breakfast was awful and service wasn’t great. Check in and out was just weird as staff were throwing things at each other and mucking about. Car park is public access and we found people taking photos sat on our car bonnet! It’s not cheap at £300 pn. Expected slightly better condition, fridge/minibar would have been good. Windows which open.

Will be perfect when renovations completed.

The communal areas of the hotel are modern and stunning. The bedroom we were initially put in was very shabby and dated. I complained as I'd booked the hotel for a special occasion and thankfully the lady on reception was really lovely and moved us to a new room which was stunning.
