I painstakingly looked for a place on the beach for the last leg of our 40th Anniversary trip. I emailed the hotel to ask about a special dinner and transportation. They kept pushing me off to different areas with many emails back and forth.
The thing that REALLY upset me was I had called a few weeks before to speak to the restaurant onsite. Our 40th Anniversary was when we were staying there and I wanted a special dinner that night. I spoke to Victor, who reassured me he had our back, that they would make it special! I was assured once again, after we arrived and spoke to Victor, that the night would be great. The night came, we got super dressed up and walked up to the restaurant and NOTHING. They barely acknowledged us. Victor said it was very busy and blamed it on his manager. His manager tried to come over and sell us the same horrible food on the menu we’ve been choking down the whole week. I finally ordered a steak and the sides came to the table cold. I cried at the table. They had ruined our 40th Anniversary and didn’t seem to care.
The hotel said the resturant is seperate from the hotel but a bad dining experience reflects poorly on the hotel. Although it’s a beautiful location and the front desk staff and transportation staff are fantastic, there is nothing else around it for food options so you are stuck eating not good food with mediocre service.
My opinion, this hotel is not worth it, even for the location.
