this is an excellent location but up 4 flights of stairs. very difficult connection for check in. comfortable bed. well supplied kitchen and bathroom. dining room chairs need pads.

Great location and overall experience. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable and clean. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe. I had my sister and 2 nieces visit 1 night for dinner and cards. There was plenty of room and the perfect hangout space for us. I love the charm of the historic building. Understand with charm comes multiple flights of stairs and no central air. The 3 window units kept the apartment cool and comfortable, note the temperatures for the weekend were mild mid 70-80s. From reading other reviews I expected a challenge with check in but overall the process was easy. Depending on the platform you booking through you need to check messages in the app or emails. I missed messages in Hotel.com app but connected via text and over the phone to quickly complete the process and receive my check in instructions. I started the process leaving the airport at 3pm and before arriving to the apartment I had all the details including the video. If you want to really feel part of the neighborhood and experience the feeling of being a resident in Evanston, choose this apartment over a hotel room.

Solid location right by the train (purple line) so a short ride to downtown or whatever you're feeling. Space itself was comfortable and pretty fairly priced. Cleanliness wasn't top notch, all surfaces were cleaned but there are some stains/spills on the hardwood floor that look like theyve been there for a while similarly in the bathroom on the walls. Bedding and everything else otherwise was freshly clean. check in was okay once I finally got the information. I kept getting contacted through what seemed to be an indian call agency which made me think this listing wasn't real to begin with. They couldn't respond through the app whatsoever so I had to call and text to get information to them. then the texts and calls were coming from multiple numbers so it was hard to track down who I should be contacting. overall the whole contact situation almost made me cancel my reservation because it was so unclear to me whether this was the actual property manager or some fake listing. if you don't mind those small inconveniences it is honestly not a bad spot to crash. Interesting area and at the time was cheaper than any hotel in the area.
