Everything was great. Linens were wonderful. We had a larger room with a living room area which was super nice and spacious. For some reason we were given an ADA room and I’m not sure why. I think I would have liked having the extra counter space in the bathroom but it was super huge

Friendly staff makes an easy stay
Front desk was very friendly, beds and pillows were great( slept right through continental breakfast, and TV remote was easy to use!!

Great room and service

I loved that it was close to everything you needed. The staff was very friendly. Check in was a little slow but there was only one employee and a whole lot of people to check in. We were there a few days and no one came to clean the room which I thought was a little strange usually hotels at least make the bed. They could have been short staffed not really sure. But over all it was a nice hotel.

When I was checking in I inquired whether or not I received the “wedding party booking discount” …apparently I hadn’t and when I asked to have it corrected they said it’s too late. The hotel only had 3 luggage carts, nowhere to be found. The WiFi in our room was “spotty” and the tv registered no signal for most of our stay. The breakfast was very nice and there was a great selection.

We tried to check in at 5:20pm and the room was not ready. The fron1q¹t desk person was not attentive to our needs. He contined with other work without giving us information if our room was finally ready

disappointed in Marriott in Fenton/Flint
First off this was the second time in a month we had a terrible experience in the Flint Fenton area.
After deciding we wanted to stay with a Marriott property but we would never stay at the Courtyard Grand Blanc we booked the Fairfield in Fenton.
Willing to pay the exorbitant rate figuring it had to be a wonderful place.
No problems with the check in and the room but the next morning tried using the fitness center and of the elliptical and two treadmills none had a working TV. All three pieces were filthy, the elliptical was total broke both treadmills sounded like trucks when you turned them on. The belts slipped Clearly there has been no maintenance of them for some time.
We were there for three nights on the second day I requested room service from workers on the floor they said they would do the room.
I left a five dollar tip only to discover their definition of room service is to replace the towels and empty the trash.
No new soap and no making of the bed. See pic.
I had never heard of a Marriott defining room service as replacing towels. But that is what the girl at the front desk told me.
Given this experience i caution anyone to be careful when booking Marriott properly in the Flint Fenton area.
Not sure who the owners are of these properties but clearly they don’t care what they are doing to the Marriott name.
After bringing these issues to the evening staff and the morning staffs attention the best I got was a “sorry”
No attempt to mitigate the situation.
