The room was beautiful, the staff is excellent, the food was outstanding, and the entire experience was seamless. The property is perfectly placed on the water and walking distance from incredible shops, wonderful dining, and the beauty of the historic downtown Charleston. It is the only place I will stay on my visits to Charleston!

Beautifully appointed hotel. Great water views. Pool, unorganized seating and service. Restaurant maybe two stars. Definitely need ceiling fans in upstairs reception area, second floor is VERY hot.

From the moment we arrived until the day we departed, we had the most exceptional service! Every need was met, every whim catered to, and extras we weren't expecting! It has been a very long time since I have had service like this! Especially loved how welcoming, accommodating, and loving the staff was with my daughter's Golden Retriever, Josie! I think she may have been pampered more than we were.

This hotel was excellent in every aspect. The staff is very friendly and went above and beyond to anticipate and meet our needs. The hotel itself is brand new, beautiful, and kept immaculate. The pool is excellent, with a beautiful view of the harbor. The location is perfect, water views while being a short walk to Charleston's best restaurants and shopping. This hotel checked every box and definitely plan on going back.

The pool is everything! The staff is so kind. The interior is gorgeous. You have bikes available and can cycle around the city. But it is centrally located so easy to walk around as well. I had the best facial I have ever had in my life and you have to treat yourself to the energy balls they make from scratch. Quite delicious! I only had unique and delicious food from the pool and restaurant. A Mediterranean flare which was very unique. 5 stars!!!

The overall stay was excellent. We are not from the USA and contacting our Concierge on a foreign number proved difficult and email l didn’t work either. We also noted that the glasses were not replenished in the morning and we had difficulty obtaining wine glasses to be delivered to our room, despite several requests. Eventually, 35 minutes later, the front desk showed initiative and delivered them herself! Other than these small matters, this is a superb hotel.

This is new and beautiful hotel that has many many wrinkles to iron out. Felt like they opened prematurely. Room was nice but the constant interruptions by staff in our room was annoying. It was constant. Flower guy, Turn down, refrigerator refill, housekeeping, maintenance etc… etc…. Great effort, bad result. The hot water in our bath tub didn’t work, our steamer don’t work, our iPad didn’t work, the single sink in the bathroom as terrible. We paid 2500 for 2 nights, had no hot water, no water pressure, couldn’t get a spa appointment and there was a huge glob of unidentifiable something in my coffee at breakfast. We were both trying to get ready for a dinner and neither one of us could because they put one small sink in an otherwise beautiful room. The hotel will do well because it’s new and beautiful but they have a ton of work left to do. Love the look and feel of the place but they need to stop ringing your doorbell every 5 mins. Get F and B corrected and make sure they’ve inspected everything in every room before putting people in them. Right now it gets 2 stars. If managed it will get to 5. People were so nice and well trained. The product hasn’t caught up.

I don’t usually write hotel reviews, but after our stay at The Cooper, I had to. I can honestly say it’s the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I’ve been fortunate enough to stay at some very nice hotels. What made this experience stand out was the hospitality. From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel so welcome and cared for. The staff remembered our names and even our dog’s name, which meant so much to us. They were so sweet to him throughout our stay and made him feel just as welcome as we were. Those little details might seem small, but they made the whole experience feel personal and special. Everyone we met was warm, thoughtful, and attentive. You can tell the team genuinely cares about their guests, and that made our stay unforgettable. We felt so well taken care of that leaving was genuinely hard. I already can’t wait to come back to Charleston and stay at The Cooper again. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so special!
