The room was clean & cozy yet spacious, the bathroom was also clean & had a gigantic shower. Every necessity was provided. The bed was comfy, & the staff was helpful during check in & out. The restaurant on the property had good food too. Great experience!

It was comfortable, safe, convenient dining. I could have enjoyed another pillow or 2. Directions to breakfast were confusing: 1 mile down the road? Key pad has 2 arrows and it was not clear requiring number re entry. Thank you.

The motel was tastefully decorated with wood floors and north woods style furniture. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again.

Clean overall, lacking comfort and convenience

Checking in was done 2+ miles down the road. The bed had essentially 2 sheets but no blanket and it was not warm enough.

Decor was beautiful notthwoods bed, table, flooring. Desk people were 4 miles away; walls thin could hear neighbor. Not enough electrical outlets and no place for phones, computer to attach to. Luckily I brought a multi device with me. I would not have given this a 9 rating which we thought we were getting. Convenient car to door loading and unloading however

You are required to check in at a different hotel 2 miles away. We booked at the last minute. I received an email with check in instructions 5 hrs later. When we received our rooms, 1 of them had not been cleaned,requiring us to go back and exchange for a different room. While waiting outside for our key, another guest asked us how to check in as well. It was extremly frustrating. Please fix the problem or you will have no repeat guests

We were supposed to be notified what room number we were in and a code to get into it but we did not. We arrived assuming we could get the info from the restaurant on the premises, which according to what I saw online, they would be open the 2 days we were booked at their motel. The restaurant was closed however. On the door of the restaurant it even said they were open that day. But they were not. The signage said to call another hotel in town owned by same person, if trouble with motel room. I called their other motel and a woman said they couldn’t reach me to give me the room number and code because Hotels.com wouldn’t provide them with my phone number. She gave me the info needed but we couldn’t get the door to open so called her a second time. We had to wait while she attempted to reach a manager. We needed to press another button she didn’t explain to us in that first call. I was more disappointed that the restaurant was not open our 2 days there than being mad about the hassle getting into the room. The restaurant was the only reason we were staying at this motel. No apologies from staff. The beds…omg. The base is a metal platform that squeaks with any movement. We stayed here before under different owners and this was not how it was back then so I don’t know why these beds were weird. And the air conditioner is extremely loud. Towels seem worn out. Wooden exterior door has panels that are separating. I did like how dark the room is for sleeping.

You never really know what to expect from a motel but it was super easy to get into our room and cozy atmosphere. Loved the natural wood floors. Convenient location for exploring nearby waterfalls.
