Trotz des Hotelnamens und Ortes wird in diesem Hotel keine schweizer Sprache gesprochen. KEINE! Sauberkeit, Funktionalität und Serviceleistungen sind weit unter dem schweizer Standard. Leider wird nirgenwo darauf hingewiesen, dass dies kein schweizer Hotel ist. Für mich eine Riesenenttäuschung von Anfang bis Schluss. Nie wieder!

Der Check-in war schwierig, da es zunächst hiess, dass dieser auf fünf Uhr verschoben wird, da sie eine grössere Gruppe erwarten. Wenn man von einer langen Wanderung kommt und komplett durchgeschwitzt ist, möchte man aber nicht 2 Stunden warten. Nach einer kurzen Diskussion war es dann möglich den Schlüssel fürs Zimmer zu bekommen und den Check-in später durchzuführen. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es war aber alles sauber und für den Preis absolut okay.

Ingen reception. Kun en QR-kode til WhatsApp, som personalet kunne kontaktes på. Service var der ikke, medmindre man forsøgte kontakt til personalet via WhatsApp. Ingen mulighed for morgenmad, selvom der på hotellets hjemmeside stod, at morgenmad kunne tilkøbes. Fællesarealerne var beskidte og slidte. Værelser gjort rent, men slidte. Der blev ikke gjort rent på værelser under opholdet af "sikkerhedsmæssige grunde ".

I've been to ALOT hotels in the world. Swiss is expensive, yes. But this hotel I wouldn't even sleep if they would pay me. Guy behind the desk was ok tho.

hallo, das Hotel ist eine Zumutung. jede Jugendherberge ist besser. kein Restaurant wie angegeben Keine Bergansicht sondern auf den Zwischengang der Häuser Das das Bad incl. WC auf dem Gang ist hätte expedia deutlicher und auf deutsch beschreiben müssen. Dann ist auch noch 1 Bad auf der Etage nicht nutzbar. Toilettekasten steht lose rum nochwas: im Zimmer gibt es nur 1 Steckdose!!!! da steckt schon die Lampe. Aber wir haben alle aber mindestens 1 Telelefon Frühstück haben wir uns dann gespart.

The receptionist was new, so didn't know much about the town n couldn't help us with the question we have. The room was not that clean. Found rubbish on the floor, very dusty lamp and only 1 glass for 2 ppl. The location was ideal though. Great view, too.

The Hotel was centrally located to train station and attractions. Upon arrival the reception area was quite dark. Staff was unable to communicate room check in and procedures. Friendly however awkward.

Even though I called and verified the fact that we had changed our date and actually talked to the hotel manager at the hotel guaranteed us that we were good that he was taken care of it. We got there and they said we did not have a reservation at all, not even the day before which was the day we had paid for. Said it was all Hotels.com fault that it was going on through the whole country. therefore, I will not be using Hotels.com anymore ever again and we were silver members.

Tyvärr är priserna extremt höga i Schweiz så jag hade kanske för stora förväntningar. Jag är nu i Tyskland, bor centralt i större stad och betalar 1/3 så mycket. Eget badrum, frukost-buffe. Äldre hotell men markant högre standard. Den äldre delen av hotell Rebstock, som jag bodde i, är mycket sliten, en toa o dusch delas med alla rum på våningen, det är mycket lyhört, det finns ett eluttag.... Med tyska&svenska mått var frukosten enkel (smakade bra) men jag vet inte standarden på normal-frukost i Schweiz. Personalen var artig o trevlig. Läget är utmärkt, nära tågstationen.

Personal nur English-sprechend. Haben dank Hotels.com ein Upgrade in ein wirklich angenehmes Zimmer erhalten. Nacht war sehr ruhig. Frühstücksbuffet für zusätzlich CHF 15.- war ok, aber etwas reichhaltiger wäre sicher nicht falsch. Ideal gelegen grad visavis vom Bahnhof im Herzen von Meiringen.

If you want to be intelanken or the jungfrau area I don’t recomend this hotel is to far away 30 minutes to interlaken and 1 hour to grindelwald and the train runs just every 30 min. If you plan to stay here in meringen I recomend it

Very friendly staff and a comfy clean room! They made sure we had a great view and were so kind and accommodating, especially making sure we had a room that could fit our bikes in it. The location is perfect too, lots of restaurants and grocery stores. Would definitely stay again.
