The staff were friendly and helpful of any questions/requests that I had. The property is a short walk from subway and very close to the Yasaka Shrine/Gion and Pontocho areas. Large and pretty room made stay very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Great location

Great location with Maruyama Par just across the road and walking distance to most places. The hotel provided a free breakfast that was a pleasant surprise. There was a problem with my booking and the lady on reception took a lot of effort to sort it out for me.

Rooms were not super clean, found hairs on the bed and the shower that were not mine (blonde vs I’m brunette). Only a duvet and fitted sheet were on my bed no sheet. No slippers were provided so you can take your shoes on and off Japanese style. However, the room was very spacious for Japan. The main front desk lady was not Japanese and therefore spoke English with an unfamiliar accent making communication hard, I don’t believe she fully informed me of every amenity. I only know from other reviews that they had breakfast offered. She was very friendly though. The location is a must- right across beautiful Yasaka shrine and located next to an amazing Wagyu skewer vendor. Also located near Gino’s old canal. Very convenient location and would stay again for that reason.

As a family of four with two children we had more than enough space in the four twin bedroom. We were able to push two beds together which was nice. The place was clean and the staff were always available and very kind and friendly. Gion neighborhood is so beautiful and easy to get around by foot. The food is quite expensive and many restaurants wanted reservations. We were able to find places to walk in and enjoy with our kids. We loved being so close to the Yasaka Shrine and nighttime walking is a must.
