I would say the room was "ok". Small but efficient. You have to go to the front desk for ice, and not much of a "lobby shop". You can never find a luggage cart and the breakfast is minimal. Staff was very friendly. Hotel is overall "ok". If you want fabulous-go elsewhere.

This is my second stay at this Fairfield. First the not so good, Kevin checked us in at the front desk and was AWESOME, when we checked into the room everything else was ok, but the floors were sticky and with a few dried spills. The manager Melane reached out to us to extend a late check out and gave us Marriott points. But most importantly they were incredibly apologetic and wanted to make it right. Their customer service was exceptional! The location is incredibly convenient, in 1 block there are stores to buy snacks, fast food, dunkin and a pharmacy. Additionally there are a slew of restaurants nearby, you're a 6 block walk to Macy's and all the other stores in Herald Square and a short subway or cab ride to Times Square and Greenwich Village and all the other great NYC attractions. Despite the floors, I'm willing to give them another try. The front desk staff was awesome and i was assured the cleaning staff issue is being fixed.

I didn’t stay there because hotels.com/the hotel didn’t mention a $150 incidental fee until I was on the way and than it’s too late to cancel such a sham

Had trouble with the front desk girl, I used my comp day and the front desk girl was being rude to me in front my my guest as well as trying to charge me an extra $100.00 dollars for the room after I explained everything and showed an email. Even explained that I used the hotel before and never had those kind of issues, it was embarrassing. So it mad my stay upsetting.

Great staff. Clean & neat. Convenient location to trains & food. Highly recommend.

For a one night stay it was great. I would suggest to update the bathroom towels and bed sheets. I did notice a few stains on sheets and run down towels. Overall it was nice.

First room I got was unmade they comforter was in a chair and pillows in a window. The receptionist gave me a new room. However, the room had no wash cloths. I asked for more and never received any because he told me they only had two people working.

I had a nice stay, nothing bad but nothing outstanding. It is in a pretty good location, if you need to get around to other parts of the city. Small, no frills room. Comfortable bed, which was really the most important thing. Room temperature stayed consistently comfortable through both nights of my stay.
