Prachtige plek om tot rust te komen tussen de gave activiteiten door. Het dorpje is leuk om eens doorheen te wandelen, maar hier is nul luxe. De watertaxi is gratis of goedkoop, De apen spelen recht boven je hoofd in de bomen, fijn zwembad en bij ons kwamen dolfijnen langszwemmen toen we zaten te ontbijten. Dikke aanrader!

The rooms were clean, the food was very good, the staff was amazing! Our guide on the excursions was an official guide set up by the hotel. His name is Jairo and he was amazing. We csnnot say enough about how good he was. Fluent english and Spanish and his knowledge and expertise was astounding!

The lodge is located in an area where we could get to the village easily by water taxi. The pool was perfect for relaxing and refreshing after a canoe tour of the national park.

Nous avons passé 3 nuits inoubliables à Valverde. Les points forts La gentillesse et disponibilité du staff avant le voyage pour l’organisation et sur place La chambre et les infrastructures très agréables et d’un bon rapport qualité prix Les excusions organisées avec l’hôtel avec un super guide passionné et un petit groupe pour les 3 excursions que nous avons prises avec l’hôtel Le restaurant, avec sa cuisine simple et délicieuse où nous y avons pris tous nos repas du petit dej au dîner Tout ceci a rendu notre séjour magique à Tortugero. Un grand merci à tous ! Et pura vida ;)

Beautiful hotel

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful area. You are not in the main town so do need to get a boat if you want meals elsewhere and they do offer complimentary transport but the last one comes back at 5 so if you want dinner out you have to pay for the boat. That was really the only inconvenience but it wouldn't stop me from booking again. They helped us book the tours and it was easy and practical.

Sehr schön gelegen mit Liegen am Pool und am Fluss, schöne Anlage, sehr ruhig. Man sieht Tiere direkt an der Unterkunft. Einfache aber sehr saubere Zimmer und sehr nettes Personal! Der Ort ist in wenigen Minuten mit einem Boot erreichbar (4Dollar). Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen!

We hadden een onverwachte upgrade gekregen naar de deluxe tenten. Een zeer aangename verrassing en een leuke start van onze trip. Personeel was heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Tucans en veel andere vogels gehoord en gezien. ‘S nachts zijn oordopjes wel nodig voor mensen die licht slapen. Af en toe ook apen gehoord. Zwembad was erg fijn met een mooi uitzicht. Het eten en drinken (happy hour altijd leuk) was erg goed en schappelijk van prijs. Personeel heeft ons ook geholpen met het regelen van watertaxi’s (ook als ze uiteindelijk niet kwamen). Een top verblijf!

Entspannung in Tortuguero

Die Unterkunft besteht aus einfachen, aber sehr sauberen Holzbungalows, die inmitten der schönen Natur des Tortuguero Nationalparks liegen. Das inbegriffene Frühstück ist hervorragend und auch sonst isst man sehr gut im Restaurant vor Ort (nicht ganz billig, wie überall in Costa Rica). Am Morgen wurden wir von Brüllaffen geweckt. Mit einem gratis Bootsshuttle kann man in den Hauptort fahren, wo es viele weitere Restaurants gibt.

We had the most amazing lodging at Valverde, Room 1, with the private pool right on the water. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff, especially Rocio, were so attentive and friendly. The grounds were well kept. The availability of the shuttle to and from Tortuguero town worked perfectly for us. We booked a 6am canoe trip on our second day and we saw lots of birds and a cayman. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The meals were mostly good with only one exception, the beef fajitas. The meat was so tough and very difficult to chew. Every other meal, including breakfast, was great. And the location was perfect for us -- not in the heart of the town but very close to be quiet and peaceful.

Loved it!! We stayed in a "Deluxe Tent" which far exceeded our expectations. The room was freshly renovated, with a wrap around porch, and rocking chairs, along with a jacuzzi and outdoor shower. Monkeys played in the trees overhead. The food at the resort was better than anywhere in town (the cooks in the kitchen were amazing!). The tours were good and the host at the front desk was there all day from the time we came to breakfast to our last night tour to see the turtles. We felt well cared for and very welcomed by the staff. Highly recommend!!
