We had a good stay at the hotel, we had dinner there which was quick and served quickly and really good quality. Our breakfast was a bit different as it took almost 30 minutes to get a croisant and a scrambled egg, but was good when it arrived.

We have tried the restaurant several times and have tried a variety of dishes and we have never enjoyed a single meal. I would only book a room in future as a necessity.

A charming Gastropub hotel on the edge of Epping Forest conveniently located near Chingford overground station with direct links to Liverpool St. The hotel is a tudor style timber and white plaster building with stained glass windows amongst many other old world embellishments. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the restaurant a treat with exceedingly helpful and pleasant staff.
