I arrived at Hyatt Regency Seattle with a confirmed reservation in hand (booked through Hotels.com), only to be told the hotel was overbooked and they had no record of my booking. I was essentially turned away at the front desk despite having proof of the reservation.
After I pressed the issue and refused to simply accept that answer, a room “magically” became available. No apology, no explanation — just a complete lack of transparency about what actually happened. It felt like I was being bumped in favor of someone else, and only got a room because I didn’t back down.
The room itself was fine, there is NO POOL, one elevator was out of order and breakfast was pretty disappointing.
