Clean, cosy room, boy on reception who showed me to room was pleasant. Only complaint was we couldn't get the shower to go hot and didn't have time to ask as had train to get.

This is more like a hostal than a hotel in feel. It is basic, there is no one there outside of 10am-10pm. If you stay when the normal rate around £70 applies it is fair for what you get. We were there on Great North Run weekend when all prices in the city were hugely inflated and paid £320. I appreciate they need to make hay while the sun shines but this was way over the top for the accommodation.

Room was clean, however the shower did not work very well diffcult to keep same temperature and barley any water pressure. Tv didnt work, but didnt stay to watch tv could use some soap only had shampoo in bathroom very long walk uphill from station

Room was small as expected, however it was comfortable and I slept well. Shared shower and toilet were clean. Staff were very helpful from when I arrived. Great value for money, only 10 minutes on the bus into the city centre.

Pelo preco que pagamos, foi excelente. Era confortável. Ficamos 5 noites. Fica perto do centro (20m a pé numa caminhada tranquila), mas a região não é tão boa. Meu movimentado, um povo um pouco estranho. Ficamos muito quarto 7 e do banheiro, em determinada hora do dia, sai um odor podre. Tipo de esgoto. O funcionário que nós recebeu era péssimo, chegamos 11h e perguntamos sobre o check-in early e ele sequer nos deixou ficar sentados no café. Literalmente nos expulsando e dizendo que se quiséssemos eram 20 pounds. No mais, não vimos mais funcionários. Um absurdo a cozinha não ter um talher, um copo. A cama era confortável, roupas de cama limpas. Foi ótimo.

There aren’t many shops nearby, mostly regional or country-specific stores. It’s hard to find what I want. The highlight is the convenience location for a short drive or public transportation away from town, but two things are inconvenient: the hot water for showers only lasts a short time, and the breakfast options are very limited for the price I paid.
