No elevator, but staffs are very friendly and can help with the luggages (free). The rooms are randomly assigned. Rooms near the street are still a bit noisy.

L’hôtel est très bien situé, au coeur de Manhattan et proche de plusieurs lignes de métro au croisement avec la 8ème. C'est un joli immeuble du quartier de Chelsea. L'hotel a du cachet avec ses affiches de films des années 50, et une petite salle commune pour prendre un café ou un thé free of charge. Le personnel est attentionné, nous avons pu changer notre chambre qui donnait sur rue (bruyante) contre une chambre sur cour (je conseille). Attention pas d'ascenseur et des escaliers raides pour les 4 étages... Par ailleurs, même si rien ne manque, et que les salles de bain ont été rénovées récemment, l'état général est vraiment moyen avec des chambres petites et un mobilier daté. Après taxes et services, les >400€/nuit (en décembre) semblent disproportionnés par rapport à ce qu'on peut avoir en Europe pour ce prix... mais à Manhattan, c'est le meilleur plan que j'ai trouvé...

Chelsea Pines Inn offered a clean, cost-efficient place to stay in a great neighborhood! It's nothing fancy, but the staff (Duane and Jonathan specifically!) were helpful and kind. Beds were comfy, and everything was clean. Would stay again!

Chelsea Pines was a fantastic find for us: our triple studio suite was remarkably spacious for Manhattan, well-designed, with pleasant public spaces (kitchen, sitting room, outdoor back patio) and 24/7 staff. We thought the price we paid for the unit was a bargain. We could hardly believe the size, comfort and quality of the (basement-level) triple studio suite, a 1200-square-foot room that easily housed three adults (could have held 4-5). Its full (and stocked) kitchen, tons of natural light and easy access to the back patio made it feel more like an AirBnB condo than like a hotel; we could have gone grocery shopping and stayed there for weeks. Ahead of our stay, staff answered our phone calls whenever we had a question about the facility. We liked that the Chelsea Pines had a secure entrance and 24/7 front-desk staff. Our only negative was that we had a difficult time controlling the hot water. Bathroom sinks and the shower would often go from cold to scalding hot; it took us awhile to get the right temperature. Otherwise, we loved everything else about our stay at Chelsea Pines Inn. An exceptional find in a terrific neighborhood! All three of our group would stay here again in an instant.

This studio apartment exceeded expectations for my family of 5. Kids could spread out and we could dine in because of the full kitchen and dining table. We will stay here again!

This is a cute little hotel! Like the Hollywood theming. Room was very clean and smelled fresh. Bed was super comfortable. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great as I was attending a show at City Winery. I had a room in the 5th floor and yes it’s a hike up the stairs but I wouldn’t let it stop you, just take a break between floors if you need to. My only improvement comment would be to have real half and half creamer. Will stay again!

The location is great and staff very friendly. Quaint historical hotel. It can be a little noisy at night when people come back to their rooms. We had 2 beds in our room, a twin bed and a double bed. The double bed needs a new mattress - luckily we could put only one person on the double bed.

The room was disappointing — it felt like an old basement apartment and was not clean. There was a back door leading to an outdoor area that did not lock, which raised safety concerns. After waiting for the hotel to address the issue without success, I ended up leaving and booking another room elsewhere. Management was not accommodating or willing to offer a refund. I book rooms weekly for travel, and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I would not recommend staying here.

Chambre double deluxe au 2nd étage. Ameublement minimum mais propre, bonne literie, salle de bain un peu exigüe. Etant cote rue, avec une mauvaise isolation (notamment autour du climatiseur qui laisse passer l'air), le bruit des passants et de la circulation nous ont gênés les premières nuits. Nous avions en partie sélectionné cet hôtel car il y était mentionne un petit déjeuner et de nombreux clients en parlaient en commentaires. La situation a visiblement changé car seul le café est proposé: pas de toasts, pain, céréales ou confitures. Très déçu sur ce point car nous avons du sortir chaque matin pour petit déjeuner avec des dépenses supplémentaires. Néanmoins, nous recommandons l'hôtel car il est idéalement placé (métro lignes A/C/E directement accessible et lignes 1/2/3 très proches). Comptez 10 min (3 stations) pour vos rendre sur la 42eme rue par ex. De nombreux restaurants sont présents autour (Chelsea Market, plusieurs cafés et Starbucks, des diners ...). Cote points d'intérêts: la Highline est a 5/10 min a pied, Little Island est toute proche aussi.

Rooms floors are dirty, lot of dust under beds and beds table side and I got some bed bugs in the first room....location is great, staff is nice but big lack of cleaning...they changed me of room but it was also dirty

A space around the air conditioner in the window was closed with paper and duct tape. My room had a window facing 14th Street, it was too noisy and I could not sleep a bit. A ceiling light was burned out, the other was about to burned out, it was flickering. The temperature control of the shower was broken. The staff was couteous. Conveniently located. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and soap were nice.

Loved the efficiency of all of it, and the building was very quiet, but not for the faint of heart. There's no elevator and the stairs are very steep. Generally whole place was impressively clean but the filter on the sink faucet was filthy, and the TV very poor, but great location and I'd definitely stay there again.

This is my go-to place whenever I visit my daughter in NYC. The hotel is not fancy but you will have everything you need. The location is excellent, right near a subway line that will get you almost anywhere in the city. The front desk staff and other employees are very friendly. There is a lovely garden with a sitting area in the back. But be prepared for your room to be on any floor-it is a walk up! The staff will help you up and down with your luggage if you request it. If you need a nice place to rest your head in NYC this is it!
