The room was smaller than I expected, but we weren’t in it except to sleep! We did find the mattress to be very firm & actually uncomfortable for both of us, but it was just for one night, so it was ok. The ladies at the front desk were kind and very helpful! Conveniently located - we enjoyed dinner at Tranquil Harbor nearby, got groceries at the Food Lion. Will definitely visit again!!

This was the cleanest place I ever stayed. The rooms were basic but there were a lot of small things that showed a lot of thought was put into making it a step above for example the rooms had a safe for valuables. The beds were comfy and the towels were nicer quality than many other places I've stayed. I loved being right on the beach and so close to the fishing pier. This place was so ideal for a relaxing vacation. There was plenty of parking. I constantly saw staff outside working on the grounds. The staff was so friendly and it was pleasant to chat with them. Checkin and out was easy. I will definitely be back here. Loved the close proximity to other islands and beaches but you truly could come here and never leave the parking lot or the island if you wanted to. There is a restaurant next door although I didnt eat there this time. I can't say enough good about this place to do it justice. I wasnt sure what to expect being that it was my first time here but my experience was great and I want to stay here again in the future, I won't even look elsewhere because this was just too perfect and so cozy, comfortable, and clean.

The room was cleaned and smelled good/ clean, bed was very comfortable sheets and blankets and pillows all in good shape towels also. This room was more than adequate and very convenient to the beach and the fishing pier next-door. I’m not sure it’s the right term to use, but this is an old school motel that is properly maintained and cleaned. The staff were available and friendly, price was a fair market offering.

Schönes Motel in einer sehr ruhigen Umgebung.Toller Blick auf das Meer allerdings nur von den Zimmern im 2.Stock.Im Erdgeschoss guckt man größtenteils vor eine Dühne.

Still a great place to stay. I stayed there years ago and this was our first time back. It’s still a great place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Motel has been remodeled and is comfortable and clean.

Pros: Great location, right next door to the Ocean Crest pier. Cold A/C and Hot water. Con’s, there were roaches in the room, mildew on the walls and mold in the bathroom. Staff was not accommodating and I would rate their hospitality skills at 2. Over priced for what it is. Beware The Beds are Super Extra Firm (Bricks).

Not what was advertised, way below expectations.

We booked an "ocean view" room, thinking we were getting the view in the picture of the advertised room. What we actually got was a diagonal view from a small window. The room was super small, not even a chair to sit on...It had two beds that had a popping spring every time you reclined, and a super small bathroom - so small the toilet paper is located in front of the toilet. And everytime you flushed the toilet you had to return to jiggle the handle to shut off the water flow. We did receive a few fresh towels during our stay, but did not receive any coffee service... There is no microwave, no table, just a cheap tv tray at the end of one bed. This is way below our expectations, and from our experience, was a bait and switch on what you get. I would not recommend this hotel in any way. Such a disappointment.

For an older property the rooms were well cleaned and nice, could be a bit more soundproof. Very friendly atmosphere from the office staff and the other guests. Very short walk to the beach, pool was great and area was clean. It was really nice to be able to continue using the parking lot, pool, pier and bathroom they provide after checkout. Would definitely stay there again!

This was a quaint little place at Oak Island for a few nights stay. It would have been nice to have had at least queen size beds in the room and maybe some more table space but it was nice for a hotel trying to keep up with the times. The pool area and beach access was wonderful. Check in was pretty easy but be sure to get there before the office closes and write down ir take a picture of your tag (it’s part of the check in process).

Booked a room as a last minute, quick get away. Room was clean, staff was extremely professional, polite, and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again. Private pool and beach access were added bonus. Highly recommend. Bed, bathroom, dorm size fridge, small table and chairs.. conveniant stay. If youre looking for a place to cook your meals or all inclusive kitchen area....this isnt it. This is perfect size to clean up and sleep, relax. Bed was comfortable.. Quick trip or travelling on a budget...this, right here is it.. Great price, easy access to rooms. Great staff. Clean room. Nice pool. Pier right next door, and also a sit down or take out restsurant 50 feet across parking lot. Motel was easy to find, check in was a breeze and it was a great, comfortable place to stay.
