Tastefull Interiors amid beautiful surroundings

The chateau is located in a small village, and its interior has been fully renovated to a high degree of elegance. The hostess, Isabelle, has done an excellent job of renovating the property, and her warm personality added to the pleasure of our stay even if it was for one night. She offered us an alternate room which had a huge balcony and a very large bathroom fitted with a beautiful bath, both of which we would have enjoyed had we stayed longer. The nearby restaurant, L'Auberge St. Jean, recommended by Michelle, also served an excellent meal which was also a surprise. Worthy of a return visit!

Escape to the chateau

We had a wonderful stay. Truly a 5star experience. The chateau is amazing with every little detail considered. We were waited on hand and foot and could not have asked for more. It way exceeded our expectations. We had breakfast and dinner each day of our stay and all were exquisite.

The castle is in a beautiful spot. Close to the vineyards and Saint-Emilion. We were in France for 12 days and this was our favorite part. The Patio room is absolutely beautiful!

Magnífico establecimiento cerca de St-Émilion y de los viñedos. Ayse, la manager, nos recibió fantásticamente bien. Es muy profesional, atenta, cercana y siempre con una sonrisa. Not a great stay

I booked the suite for 1 night as it had what looked like a private garden area for my wife and I to sit and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The seats and general feel to the garden/patio area was dank and grubby. The seat cushions were wet which was surprising as it had been in the high 29s all day. On arrival I could not find a dedicated reception area so had to call them on the telephone. The Hotels.com booking page said that checkin was from 4pm and we arrived around 6:30pm. It did not say on Hotels.com site that there wasn’t anybody from the hotel onsite after 8pm. We found this out as we were shown to our room. Once in our room, we were asked if we wanted breakfast which we asked if we could let them know once we had settled in. This is when we found out that she was leaving shortly. The host was fine but we were asked to leave the kitchen as we had found it and put our rubbish in the bins somewhere near the chateau. I have never been asked to contribute to the housekeeping on a hotels.com or any other booking site before. We complied with the request but couldn’t find the external bins in the morning so ended up driving round with our rubbish in the car until we found a public bin. All in all, we probably wouldn’t return. The list of 10/10 reviews prompted me to leave a not so perfect account as I believe them to be misleading and built my expectations to high for the delivery of the experience.

Vackert beläget alldeles vid Dordogne. Vi fick ett rymligt och välutrustat hotellrum i huvudbyggnaden som renoverats väl i gammal stil men med modern inredning. Lugnt beläget och en fantastisk uteplats ut mot trädgården. Mycket trevligt och hjälpsam personal! Synd att de inte serverar några måltider men bra restaurangalternativ finns på kortare bilavstånd (ett par på promenadavstånd 5 min). Rekommenderas varmt!

Amazing hospitality at beautiful Château

During our stay at Château de Courtebotte, we opted for the Treehouse. The room had lovely views over the river and the gardens of the Château. The manager was outstanding and super accomodating. She offered us some fresh fruits from the gardens and went out of her way to ensure we had a lovely stay.
