傑斯蒙丹尼飯店 - 倫敦

The location is excellent as it is very near to the Kings Cross Station. Stayed in the family room in the top floor. Need to access through a very steep and narrow spiral stair before reaching the room. It was very difficult to carry luggage through it. With very hot weather outside during day time, the room is difficult to cold down for a good sleep as the room has no electric fan as well. Lights in toilet is automatic, and only automatic, and also automatically switch off if you stay inside the toilet too long. Need to move you body inside the toilet periodically for the system to detect your presence before it can switch on automatically again. A funny stay.

The attitude of the receptionist is bad, not helpful at all. Especially he treated the Chinese in a bad mood. If you keep the luggage at the hotel, they would charge £5 per luggage per night. The room and the toilet are supper small, for 3-bed room, it cannot place 3 luggages. But according to the picture posted , it is not worse like this

Nice comfortable hotel in a very convenient place. Only down side was the noise. We were in the basement and it was lovely and quiet until the early hours, then very creaky floor boards, and I think we must have been close to the kitchen because there was lots of clanging and crashing so we were up and out by 09.00! Shame because it has such a lot going for it. The triple room we booked was clean, comfortable, perfect temperature it was just a shame about the early wake up call!

We've stayed at the Jesmond Dene before and been happy with it, but on this occasion we were told we had been given an 'up-graded' room - 'up' being, as it turned out, the operative word! We were actually housed, in an admittedly perfectly acceptable en-suite room, on the very top (third floor) of the nearby Princess Hotel, which appears to have some association with the Jesmond Dene. However, the Princess Hotel has no breakfast room at all, so we had to go back to the Jesmond Dene for breakfast, where on the first morning we had to wait for quite some time before a table became available. Because we had appointments to attend, we were, in fact, on the very point of leaving to use the Costa cafe over the road when a table was found for us. The actual breakfast is reasonably good, and the man in charge of service there is charming, but in several ways this stay was less convenient than we had hoped. There is a point beyond which 'sweating the asset' starts to disadvantage the customer, so we shall probably look elsewhere on our next visit to London.

Very cozy hotel with a Bed and Breakfast feel. Breakfast was wonderful.
