Room was clean with everything you need, food there wasn't a great choice and sadly breakfast hot food was a bit cold. Pool is great but changing rooms are icy cold! Some staff went above and beyond to be helpful others couldn't care less.

Food and facilities were great. The poor review I'm giving is all related to housekeeping. When we arrived thd room was clean and nothing to say, next day it was only semi cleaned, beds were all messy, room not hoovered and coffee/tea not replenished, we decided to not say anything, giving the benefit of the doubt. Next day, we left in the morning, leaving the hanging paper to clean the room on the door but when came back at 4.30pm the room was not done. They forgot to clean it...after this, we just asked for fresh towels and toilet rolls, there was no point anymore. All in all good hotel with great facilities but just lack of supervision in housekeeping in my opinion.

This hotel is a great location for touring Edinburgh. If you have a car the parking is easy. There is also a public bus stop right outside the hotel. Our family stayed for three nights. We just parked the car for the whole time and then caught the #26 bus to Prince Street which from there it was easy to walk around and catch a hop on/off bus. We did the City Sight Seeing Bus and used the Green/Blue/Red Routes to get everywhere we needed to be. The breakfast was great. I would recommend waiting to pay for it there as there are two different choices of hot or cold continental. Great for families.

The hotel is in good location. The only issue is that the hotel was being renovated. they were coloring the hallways on my floor and the carpet in our room was old. Needs to be upgraded. The staff were great

Clean room. However, 3 of us were booked, 3 of us stayed yet we had to keep asking for more towels as only 2 were given each day. The 11 year old had the sofa bed which was sloping and sunk at both the top and bottom and unbearable to sleep on so he slept with the mattress on the floor. Not exactly the comfortable stay we paid for. When mentioned to reception all we got was “sorry about that”. No one could possible sleep on the sofa bed so be mindful when booking more than 2 in a room. The pool is smaller than the pics in the website and my son who was looking forward to swimming never had room to swim as it was always busy. I feel the numbers should be limited for this. The staff were friendly otherwise.
Unless you’re a toddler or smaller, you would not be able to sleep on this sofa bed.

The hotel was clean, modern and a great stay overall. We enjoyed the pool and sauna, however the pool area felt quite small considering the amount of families there during the easter holidays. We dined in the restaurant and had lovely food and decided to add on breakfast for the next morning, but it ended up being very busy for breakfast that it was not enjoyable and quite chaotic. The TV set up in the room was great, massive tv, with your normal tv channels as well as netflix and a cast option which is unusual in most hotels, allowing us more options to watch! Great location next to the zoo as that was why we were visiting Edinburgh.
