Location was fantastic. The hotel was basic, but the room was very comfortable. Coffee and tea in the reception were appreciated. The hotel and room were very clean. Walls were a bit thin, but the hotel provided complimentary ear plugs.

Pros: Nice modern hotel. Very comfy bed. Room had a TV and very well working AC. Bathroom was great, modern with a great shower. Wifi worked well most of the time. Location was good for quickly accessing both uptown and downtown with multiple subway lines right next to. Cons: The room was very small, but we didn’t really mind it. The area is not the best, no grocery stores close by.

Location is unbeatable on Canal St next to the subway entrance Staff very friendly and helpful for directions

You def get what you’re paying for. The only reason it was worth it was because of the area it was in.

This is a budget hotel in NYC, but we usually look for a deal, and this was definitely noticeably budget. The biggest issue that we had was the smell in the hallways and elevator. They tried to cover with air freshener, but there is an obvious oder problem. We did not smell it in the room. The rooms are small, but they are as described and pictured. They have made a great attempt to redesign the room. The only two problems within the room was the mattresses would very easily slide off of the bed, and the electrical outlets were so loose that our chargers would fall out. The bathroom had some mildew in the lower sections of the shower. Those working the front desk were friendly and attentive. It was just a mediocre experience.

Good room and fantastic location to subway right outside of hotel. The only negative was the size of the room which was practically a bed and bathroom. This was expected but would be nice for more room. Also, there is no lotion or ironing board so plan accordingly.

Our stay at city rooms was actually great! The room is small but has all you need for a short stay. Clean, quiet, and perfect location for the subway just at corner. The staff was very nice also. No thrills stay... but who needs more.

Amazing location, can't get any better. You can walk to all the neighborhoods including Soho, Little Italy, China Town, Greenwich, Chelsea and more. Restaurants all walkable too. and public transport is literally around the corner. Clean rooms, extremely comfy bed and hot water guaranteed. Best bang for your buck there is book this place!

Room is cute, with the painting on the wall and the minimalist style clothing rack. The desk is not usable for real work - it's barely the size of a laptop, and the stool is painful to sit on. The service staff at the front is super nice, and the location in relation to subways and shopping is great. However, the problem is the bathroom. It reminds me of a YMCA locker room, all the way down to the scratchy, cheap towels. Worst, there is black mold in the tile grout and on the shower head. They need to gut the bathrooms and redo them; only then would I consider staying again, as the hotel is not cheap enough at ~$175 to fall into the budget "I'll deal with it" category.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our stay. Being right in the middle of everything did mean lots of street noise during the night but the hotel provided ear plugs which was a thoughtful touch. Our room in particular was really small and there wasn’t much space to store our luggage, clothes, toiletries, etc., which made getting ready in the morning a little difficult but all in all we would stay here again for the location alone.
