Hotel could do with a "spring clean" and a lick of paint in some parts but otherwise all was good. The staff in particular were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast was exceptional. Thanks to all concerned

Was here for a friend's wedding and needed a budget-friendly hotel that was clean and welcoming...and that's exactly what we got!! Really lovely, attentive and friendly staff, lovely fresh-cooked breakfast each morning and a clean room with a beautiful sea-view...what more could we want??!! Thank you!!

Very pleasant stay. Whilst so updating and remedial work needs doing . This is vastly remedied by the professionalism of the stay. All friendly and curtious each and everyone worked hard to make our stay a pleasing experience. The breakfast was very good and real value for money. Would definitely stay there again . Good location and brill staff especially our initial receptionist Sharon who throughout our stay went over and above . But then all staff were brill just Sharon had that little extra edge

We had a fantastic time at Citrus Hotel in Eastbourne and all the staff made our honeymoon memorable. Thank you so, so much! When we arrived, we were welcomed by the wonderful hotel manager, Mrs Rika Robertson, who was really kind and friendly and gave us a beautiful room with sea view. Also, we loved our breakfast which was delicious and varied. The stars of the show in the restaurant were Nancy, George and Kirsty- they gave us the best customer service and were very attentive. You all spoilt us rotten during our stay at Citrus Hotel and we're really grateful. Thank you everyone! We cannot wait to go back!

Staff are very accommodating and friendly and approachable. Good wifi connection and breakfast is good but not included in the booking have to pay additional should really for free. Lift isn’t working during our stay. Only bath towel are being change so we have to buy toiletries.

The greeting received on arrival was excellent ,very efficient, once realised that I was disabled before I requested the staff member (south African accent),changed the room to a more suitable location. Even after a long shift she and colleague were still very helpful ansd smiling ,gave the impression of being happy at work which affects the experience of guests. Thank You for a better experience than expected especially for price paid.

This Hotel is value for money, pet friendly but it’s 20£ extra a night, room was clean but bathroom floor pretty old and some silicone black off mould, entrance and hall untidy need proper vacuuming looks like not been done for weeks, restaurant a bit sticky too nice coffee machine though breakfast tiny. But stuff very friendly and helpful. With a bit more attention to details this Hotel could be so much better.

This hotel should be avoided. The Hotel is dirty, tired and very noisy.I think that it is more of a hostel than a hotel. Shower didn't drain, there was 'matter' own the side of the bed and you could only get 3 pillows for 2 people as 'they'd run out of pillows' Really. The owners,Compass, should be ashamed that they are providing a substandard product. I'll be writing to them seeking recompense. The Staff were nice considering.

I arrived at a run down property which does not resemble photos. Water stains on reception ceiling, loose dangerous floor tiles leading to reception The room had a broken bed base, mattress felt of only springs & bedding torn & filthy. Tv did not work as socket hanging out of the wall. Light above bed flashing so could not use. Window was also broken so was nailed shut, meaning no fresh air. Hot sticky room which has not been aired for a very long time. Dirty underwear under the bed. We obviously could not stay for the booked break so left early. The owner agreed to a refund but hotel.com still charged me their commission even though we could not stay

Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Room was big size. Breakfast fresh. Just Few remarks- please polished glasses and cutleries. And house keeping have to more and often clean floors and carpets. :)
