Location, location, location....!!!

Location, location, location... 5 minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station. The staff were very friendly. The decor is tired, but the room/bed were clean and tidy. For the price and location this is a no brainer good place to stay if you are not fussy/ don't need frills... I was solo traveling. Perfect for the theatres....

It's not expensive, and the linen was clean, but the rest of the impression was poor. Room nr 10 is worn down and in need of renovation.
Trygve Kvalsund, 2-night trip

The only thing this hotel has going for it is location, in the middle of Bloomsbury. Inside it is very run down. The bed linen was clean thankfully, but the en-suite was grubby, hardly any water pressure from the taps. The single curtain at the window had a hook either end, and the ceiling and one of the walls had water stains, presumably from a leak above. Sorry Gresham, we won’t be back.
Nigel, 1-night trip

The room was in bad repair with a stained carpet and a broken curtain rail. The TV didn’t work despite asking for a remote control that didn’t materialise. The shared facilities were no better. This was a last minute booking and I wished I hadn’t bothered.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The room bearer no resemblance to the picture on the website, it was a damp basement with furniture on the brink of collapse - like something from a developing country. It was so terrible we decided not to stay there. I asked for my money back. Both the hotel and Hotel.com have promised a reply. I have heard from neither in three weeks.

Best value hotel in Central London

Could do with a lick of paint and a new shower head but otherwise good value for money 2 mins away from Tottenham Court Road/Central Line. Stayed end of August when it was cooler. No aircon so could be very hot if staying in height of summer. But no problems for us. Nice clean sheets, towels, good water pressure and hot water.

The damp smell was unbearable . Live electrics on the walls.

Friendly Staff, Spacious rooms for travelling alone, shared bathrooms only downside 👍

Value room in the centre

Good basic room well positioned in central London. Not the most comfortable or clean but for a single room in central London for less than £50 it met my expectations and good value.
John, 1-night trip

No wifi, Outdated, dirty

no wifi - disgusting rooms - I checked out the same day and trying to get a refund as booked this for wifi to do work. There is no wifi in the rooms and they had the audacity to say there is wifi only in the hallway... ?
Thomas, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

The hotel is in a very convenient location near Tottenham Court Road station with many shops. The room was quite hot in the night. Mattress could have been a bit comfier but there was sufficient space for a single bed as a budget hotel location. Check-in and check-out processes were quick and easy.
Vaikkun, 1-night trip

Connectivity is very good but room was horribly smelling.
Rahul, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

To be expected for the price Basement room, with broken items in room, such as curtain and wardrobes. No kettle, by side of busy London road, no room wifi Clean sheets and clean bathroom, which is all that was needed Central London hotel, cheap hotel, got what we paid for
Catherine, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Terrible hotel. Obviously, in accordance with its price, but even too bad.
GABRIEL C, 2-night trip

2/10 Poor

Stay away from this place! It’s central and not expensive for London but it’s the worst place I’ve ever seen, to the extent that I had to leave due to the poor condition the room was in, dirty, extremely poorly maintained, paper-thin mattress and a stench of dampness that I thought was potentially dangerous for my health. It just didn’t feel right and I had to leave. My original room was not available because someone had broken the bed’ and they said that the new room in a completely different hotel and building was ‘an upgrade’. Funny if it wasn’t tragic. Hotels com refused to give me a refund even though I checked out within 5 mins. Terrible

Old, dated, but good value still

Room was dated. In the basement. But spacious and with windows for sunlight. My only complaints are that there was only hot water tap was working so it was impossible to take shower. But overall given price and location I’m satisfied with my stay. Thank you

It was a basic room yes but it was more like a prison furniture were horrible and dirty. The only one electrical socket, which was for the television was 6 foot off the ground not used to charge phones toilet in the hallway so small you couldn’t even sit down.
Mark, 1-night trip

The toilet smelled better than the room. I almost dead sleeping. Very dirty and old room. -100/10

Great location 24 hour check in service - but the room was actually scary to stay in and was like being in a time warp I can’t believe in central London they still even exist but for £60 for all three of us I don’t consider that I can expect anything less. Also the man on the reception was really lovely just a very strange experience!!
