We knew waiting at an empty desk, with zero workers to be seen ANYWHERE on the property that we were going to be less than impressed. When the woman took us about fifteen feet from the desk to show us where breakfast would be served each morning, she said… and this is your room. My jaw almost fell on the floor. It looked like she was opening a closet door off the foyer. There was a queen bed which you could walk around, if you like being blasted with the freezing cold air coming from the air conditioner on the wall. Didn’t matter how high you turned the temperature, it stayed on “winter is coming”. The bathroom door opened out and barely cleared the bed, I say this to demonstrate the size of the closet she put us in. Oh, I almost forgot the bed, I’m not sure how I did that… it was like laying on a table top. The pillows were flat bricks. We had to find Target (1 1/2 hrs away) to purchase a mattress topper and pillow to even sleep the second night. There was a sound machine on the night table, but in order to drown out the noise, we would have about 12 of those suckers, it was so loud. People walking above us, setting up breakfast on the wall adjacent to our room, people enjoying breakfast…. At one point I heard a guy tell his wife he wanted honey on his bagel. I started to ask her if she could bring me one too. I cannot believe how much I paid to be there. I almost feel like they owe me for being in a movie. I kept looking for the cameras.
