Bed bug
Found a bed bug on the last night of our stay. Took a photo of it for my records but took the bug in a plastic bag to the front desk and informed them of the problem. I took a business card for the manager of the property and called the next day. Left a voicemail message which was not returned. Called again the next day and spoke with a manager who said they were unaware of the problem. I asked if that meant that they had rented the room the next night without investigating the situation and they said they didn’t know. I asked for some sort of financial compensation as there were five of us staying in a 2-bedroom suite so all of us had to immediately wash all clothes and wipe down and inspect suitcases before bringing into our homes. No call back for days. Called three more times and left voicemail messages with no response. Eventually, I saw a credit back on my credit card for around half of the cost of the room for two nights. No call, no apology - nothing. I stay at this hotel twice every year to visit family, we stay in the most expensive room in the hotel. I think I deserved an actual response and to have the entire room comped. I will not be staying there again.
