I did not know what to expect since this was a new property (only open a few weeks when we arrived) and I have never stayed at a Virgin Hotel before. This hotel had the great old town feel of Edinburgh and was beautifully modern on the inside. The staff were super friendly and helpful and always smiling. The location of this hotel is perfection. A short walk to the castle, the Royal mile and even the new town area of the city. Victoria Street is a beautiful little street that feels like Diagon Alley. I would definitely want to stay here again! Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Excellent Stay! Enjoyed Every Minute!
Our stay at the Virgin Hotel in Edinburgh was amazing. The hotel is beautiful. The staff, although many are still being trained, are extremely friendly and willing to help. The location is perfect and close to everything. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, also.

Most of room’s advanced features didn’t work, like automatic light in the shower would switch off while I was in the shower and kept switching on during the night. There was garbage left in the ice bucket and TV remote control was missing when I checked in. Room controls from the app didn’t work properly and TV would need to be restarted after i tried to control it with iPhone app. Breakfast options were very basic and poorly prepared. Overall impression that this hotel was well conceived but needs a lot more work to achieve excellence.
