This hotel is a gem. It is a luxury property in a luxurious location, minus the luxury price. The staff is the absolute nicest staff I've every encountered at a hotel. Their English is outstanding. If I had any questions, they either knew the answer or found the answer for me.
My room was huge, clean, and comfortable. The shower was great and the water was always hot. The free breakfast in the morning was delicious. Hot scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, excellent croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice, and delicious Argentinian pastries filled with dulce de leche cream. Again, a very luxurious breakfast in an elegant dining room that didn't cost anything.
I stayed in this particular hotel because I am fascinated with Eva Peron. So I was in Evita heaven. Francisco, who works at the hotel, kindly gave me the history of the hotel and a tour of the Evita Suite. It has many original items in that room from when she lived there with Juan Peron. The lobby also contains a lot of photos and items, too. Francisco was very generous with his time in explaining a lot about the history of Peronism and Argentina in general. The whole staff, from the doormen to the front desk to the cleaning people to the waiters were just wonderful.
I would never stay anywhere else in Buenos Aires. This is a keeper. You will not be disappointed. Trust me!
