Awesome stay at Hotel Select

Stay at Hotel Select was amazing. This hotel is quite clean and well maintained. Check-in was smooth and the room is also quite spacious. Only thing that I found a bit problematic was that there are many bus stops nearby and that makes it confusing to find out the actual bus stop to take for your trips.

Good Hotel for Business Trips

The Hotel is set in a quiet corner next to a huge Shopping Center, McDonalds and Burger King. The Carpark is a bit on the small side and if you arrive late, it may be full and you have to find a different spot to leave your car. Check-in was quick and friendly. The room was well sized, big bed very comfortable, desk, fridge and bathroom with shower. All very clean and well looked after. Good Hotel for business trips. Just a few Minutes to the Motorway slip road.

A pleasant and comfortable modern hotel

A pleasant and comfortable modern hotel, with a newish shopping centre nearby, so fans of McDonald's, Burger King and KFC will be happy. I did not try the breakfast buffet as I considered the price to be on the high side. On the other hand I had a dinner in its restaurant, which was fine and delivered with a friendly service. On the not-so-great side is its distance from Mainz town centre and main railway station. The bus stop is not so far way but buses only run two or three times and hour, depending on time of day. Oddly, the lower frequency is during what some people might consider the morning and evening rush hours. There is a tram stop further away in another direction. If that does not matter then the hotel is a perfectly good choice. Unfortunately I had to pay a ridiculously high price because I booked only a fairly short time before a major international exhibition being held in Frankfurt.

Great comfortable hotel

Great stay at this hotel, tassimo machine which was better than a kettle and instant coffee. Comfy bed and bedding. Lovely staff. Close to where I visited my family. The one and only criticism is that the bar and restaurant didn't seem to be open as advertised in the literature? One night was a private party and the other it was totally closed with all lights off. It would've been nice to sit and read in the bar area as too early to go to room when I got in from visiting relatives. However I bought a bottled drink from the reception and read for a while in the comfy chairs available there. Would definitely stay there again!

We had stayed at Select Hotel before, had a very good impression, however this time the fridge didn't work, left the bag at the reception, was a huge inconvenience, also my emental gone from that bag!! I am not saying somebody has taken it, though it did disappear. The Coffee machine was intermittent, only had 3 cups between 2 of us in 4 days! Reported it, but didn't really solved the problem, the machine was still intermittent! It was quite hot, the air conditioner was on, but wasn't making any difference... So, no wasn't good due the above problems.
