However- the rooms are a completely different story! Small, dark and full of moisture! It’s a shame that a really nice property like this doesn’t have matching rooms to the overall feel!

The property was clean but all the furniture needs updating, some chairs were broken, the one in our room was dangerous to sit on. Was surprised by the high reviews on this property so I decided to give it a chance. It is cheap, but you get what you pay for, and nothing more. I booked a two bed room months in advance and when we arrived they said they were sold out of that room. The room they put us in looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. I wore my shoes in the room because my feet would get so dirty if I didn’t. It was also moldy and musty in our bathroom. They charge you for use of safe in your room. The housekeeping also entered our room multiple times without announcing themselves and would often do it so early, it would wake us up. Staff was extremely unfriendly and quick to rush you out as well. The landscaping is beautiful and that would be my only positive comment.

Almost Perfect
The suite overlooking the Mediterranean was fantastic, the breakfast was top-notch, and the staff was friendly. If I could improve one thing it would be the front desk's ability to help one customer at a time. The gal at the front desk working the late shift kept going back and forth between myself and an undecisive group of people that kept asking questions while I waited for my room key. I know it's Europe, and patience is a virtue, but a 20-minute check-in near midnight when all you want to do is sleep does test your patience. I didn't complain since the receptionist really was doing her best, was absolutely professional and warm, but just didn't prioritize customers properly. I hesitate in even bringing it up. Other than that, my stay was very pleasant.

The hotel common facilities are really beautiful. Staff is very friendly. Be aware that 95% of the room pictures they use are from their special rooms (not standard room). Cleaning was disappointing - dust in the AC and the balcony was so dirty that was impossible to use.

Excellent experience, will stop again!
What a wonderful stay at a hotel steeped in history. From our check in, to leaving we had an amazing stay. The lady on reception (Marcelle) was absolutely wonderful. She spoke a multitude of languages, and can converse fluently. She was so helpful and informative. A real asset to the hotel! We stayed on a Dinner, bed and breakfast basis. All meals were typical Spanish buffet style, and more than adequate. The waiters and staff in the restaurant and bar were also very nice. The rooms are slightly outdated, but spotlessly clean. The beds are amazing, best nights sleep I have had in ages! We were lucky enough to have a Sea View room, which is remarkable to wake up to. There was traditional Spanish entertainment on one evening...Dancing and Singing..which we thoroughly enjoyed. The walk to Lloret itself is quite a trek, but great for building up an appetite for the evening meal. We will definitely return next year to this lovely Hotel. We stayed out of season so didn't use the Swimming facilities, but they are absolutely amazing looking over the bay! 5 stars from us!
