Check in time was at 3:00. I was told my room was not ready at that time, but that the staff was "working diligently" to get my room ready. The receptionist took my phone number and I went to wait in my friend's room. At 3:35, after not receiving a phone call, I went back to the front desk and was told my room was still not ready. At 4:05, the receptionist "moved some things around" and procured a room which she could have done from the start. No discount was offered for the inconvenience. The room was on the first floor and clean enough. I was uncomfortable with the sliding glass door to the parking lot. There was no safety bar lock, just the door locking mechanism near the handle. Traveling alone, I was concerned that I was not safe. When I went to take a shower in the morning before leaving, the water that came out of the faucet was brownish in color, so I just waited to take a shower when I got home. I didn't try the breakfast because if the water was dirty, I didn't trust that the food would be safe to eat. There was no shuttle available, but the LYFT drivers were fantastic in this area. The place needs an upgrade and a safety audit should be done on the sliding glass doors to ensure they have the proper locking system, or a bar on the track to prevent entry from the outside. Even better, the sliding glass doors should be replaced with windows that cannot be opened. I would not consider booking a room here in the future.
