All went well and my dogs were welcome. I was asking the clerk where would be the best location to relieve my dogs and he looked at me oddly. I quickly added that I clean up after them and just needed to know if there was a designated area. He told me where a receptacle was, but his reaction seemed weird to me. I realized why when I went to walk my dogs. There were piles upon piles of dog feces littering the landscaping EVERYWHERE. Seriously people???? This behavior is why our dogs aren't welcome everywhere. It is NOT the motel's job to clean up your dog excrement. That responsibility is yours. It is repulsive and disgusting. Unknowing motel guests could unknowingly step in it. I had to walk my dogs down the street as there was literally no open space for them to relieve themselves without stepping in dog feces. It is foul and it is a disease concern. Your dog is YOUR responsibility. Step it up. Other than this, the hotel was clean. It shows its age and use, but it is maintained and clean.
