Fantastic!!

Amara is a very nice resort with truly amazing service from a friendly and consistently competent and attentive staff. Unfortunately, it is much in need of updating to justify the rates they charge for it. With resort fees of $40 per day on top of the rate fee, guest should have more than plastic Adirondak chairs, an outdated pool, a restaurant vibe that is dark and cramped, and rooms that are very dated, particularly the baths. Let me say again that the service was outstanding, and the location is perfect in the very attractive east end of Sedona. The location is boxed in, which makes parking difficult and at times inconvenient, although the valet staff does an amazing job without constantly pressuring you for tips during each in and out. Although we understand the necessity of COVID restrictions, we also felt that the level of service to rooms had been restricted too severely, considering the price we were paying for the room. We understand Amara will go through a major update this summer. We look forward to seeing the result.

This might be my 12th time staying at the Amara. The views, the location, the staff- the Old Fashioneds :) are just the best. I wouldn't stay anyplace else while in Sedona.

Understaffed. Unable to check in until after 5 PM because room wasn't clean. They said they would waive resort fee- but it was on bill at check out. Not really a resort- but resort fees are an all-too-common way of jacking up room rate. The fitness center had 2 treadmills, one elliptical and some weights. They don't clean room unless you request- the letter says due to conservation considerations. After 4 days, we made a request- room wasn't clean until we complained. Even garbage not removed (so I generally left it in one of the conference rooms so it wouldn't smell our room). Mattress was soft and lumpy. People are very nice. But not worth the price.

Great service! Staff is exceptional.

Amara did allow us to check in early, which was appreciated. However, the room was nothing special for the high price that was paid. The sheets had highlighter marks all over them, the TV had no channels (why even provide a TV), and we had to request twice to get our room serviced (as they will only clean the room as requested due to COVID 19). Unfortunately, I do not plan to stay here again when I am visiting Sedona.

I would stay here again and again and again. Great location, checkin was 30 mins late but they immediately gave us a 1pm checkout and free drinks vouchers. Hostess at restaurant always found us a table . Bartender made us the best drinks and we ate every meal at the hotel because the food was that good! The setting with the fire pits, infinity pool and facing the red rocks was amazing. Close to hikes and shops

Beautiful property, comfy beds and nice rooms, especially river side.

The Room and the hotel was okay, for the price it should of been better. The location was the best !
