The location is lovely. The Fairwinds Spa Suite we stayed in was scrupulously clean. The bed was fabulous and the linens were high quality. The views throughout the property were lovely. The Sunset cruise was great - we saw two eagles. The resort seems understaffed, so sometimes service is a bit slow, but it's not because the staff isn't trying.
What I didn't like - the resort does not provide maid service every day. This is fine, except that I did not know that. It would have been nice if they posted a sign about this in each room. They probably mentioned this in the fine print on the brochure they put the room key in, but who reads that in its entirety?
wifi is a bit slow - ok for leisure would not be okay for business,
I never did hear back from the Spa when I emailed them prior to my stay.
Since we stayed at the end of the season, some services had reduced hours. For example, the Cafe closed early one day, without notice. A text message to guests or at least a written sign on the Cafe the day before would have been nice.
In-room coffee maker is awful - go to the Cafe or pub.
But the lovely views, clean modern room made up for the drawbacks.
