Unpleasant stay
I have booked a family room for 4 but instead they told me they only have 2 rooms to provide. It was too late to go anywhere else so I had to get the rooms. There was left over food from previous person under the bed. There were hair on the floor which clearly shows it has not been vacuum prior to our arrival. There were spider web at the corner of the room.

Not so New England
Room basic, furniture and carpet poor quality, condition of fittings poor with basin plug broken, power lead for kettle not working, creaky and loose bed frame.

Terrible
Horrendous hotel. Don’t bother. The receptionist was rood and unhelpful, the most unwelcome reception I have had at a hotel. The bathroom and toilet in particular were uncleaned since the previous guest. I won’t stay here again.

Although decor and furniture in room was a little dated it was comfortable and clean. Lady on reception was lovely and no problems with checking in and out.

I quite often stay at The New Englander. The staff are always welcoming and helpful and the cooked breakfasts a good start to the day.
