Well located 'grand' style hotel.

A very good location overlooking the promenade, but only a few hundred yards from Lord Street - Southport's main street. It's a hotel in the 'grand' style, rather too big now and some parts are clearly in need of modernisation and repair, but all public areas are clean and very nicely decorated. Large lounge/bar area. Full breakfast available, with plenty of choice. Lots of parking space at the front of the hotel.

Great stay thursday night, great room, beds, cleanliness and great area for getting about. Friday night was awful, guests smoking weed in room near me, reported to staff not sure what happened as smell lasted quite few hrs. Residents quite noisey in their rooms playing tv loud and shouting. Didnt go back down to complain as I already put towels at bottom of doors to keep smell out, and was in bed, couldnt find a desk number to call, such a shame as was great until then.

Very nice renovated room

Stayed in many Britannia hotels & generally all wonderful old buildings in need of a huge amount of restoration. This one is definitely the best we've stayed in. Maybe it's because we had a lovely spacious newly renovated room overlooking the gardens! Breakfast was wonderful & all the staff we had contact with were very helpful.
