I booked the stay, not realizing it was nonrefundable so, that was 100% on me. When tried to cancel via virtual chat - it would reach out to the hotel and see if they would be willing to cancel with the refund and get back to me within 24 hours. I had no problem accepting the decision either way but this is where it went south I called at 6:30 AM on Friday. Check-in was not until Saturday at 3 PM - within the 24 hour. I spoke with a very incompetent, rude employee named Crystal. She said the manager was off duty until Monday so I would not hear from them until then - I asked how would that work - if the room was for tomorrow at 3 PM and no mgr was available until Mon. it makes no sense? She said nothing would change - no refund, but I wouldn’t find out until Mon. I asked why would they even send me the notification that they would get back to me within 24 hours knowing that was not an option she basically said I don’t know what you want me to say they’re not going to refund you then without notifying me she put me on hold - transferred me to corporate. Thankfully a very kind woman explained everything to me. Needless to say, I changed my mother’s day plans as to not be out the 200+ dollars. Unfortunately, the hotel was not even worth it and i should have took the $ loss. Not like the pics/ Dirty - rundown/ slow elevator - 6 min wait slow ( I was on the 4th) doors didn’t lock for security w/key card as it should.No pool towels. breakfast was subpar. Owners should pay a visit
