Spruced up travelodge

Arrived for early check in a not so nice street, however couldn’t check in until exactly at 3 pm. Front desk was able to hold our luggage in a closet for us and told us we can use the pool while waiting for check in. We were given towels but upon arrival to the pool, we saw that there were only 8 lounger beds total and they were all being used or saved by 2 big families. The 2 families had tons of kids in the pool and beds. They seemed rough around the edges and had gang affiliated tattoos. Those families were often at the pool bar for an hour at a time and wouldn’t return back to the beds but still left their things and towels on them. Other guests couldn’t use the beds at all or get in the pool because their kids were in there causing a ruckus the whole time and blocking the stairs to walk down into the pool. I did not see a life guard on duty and parents were often seen just drinking at the bar and not paying attention to their small children. There was also a lady who appeared to be mentally ill or on drugs who kept diving in and out of the pool, was seen talking to herself and harassing a group of teen girls. Not even sure if she was a guest there or just walked right in from the street. Pool bar only had 1 bartender who was also the bus boy. Our bathroom floor still had sand leftover from the previous guests, blood stain on bathroom cabinet, ants on countertop, stained towel, and moldy towel hooks. Walls were thin and could hear music until 1 am at night from their bar.

Cute & busy

Resort fees here = $30 per day. It was very cute upon arrival. The pool area and bar is also very cute. The rooms are a bit dingy, but ok. Mostly the floors felt dirty like they needed a good shampoo and the shower is extremely small. I’d guess 2.5-3ft long and wide. There is a microwave and fridge in the room as well as a balcony looking over the pool area. This first night was quite loud when we tried to fall asleep. I also could very clearly hear an incessant bird in th morning, but didn’t have this problem subsequent mornings. The bathroom has shutter “windows” which doesn’t lend to ver sound proof or humidity proof rooms- tip- keep that bathroom door closed so the ac and fan can work its magic. Got our car parked by valet for $45 This is very Spendy, but truly was no better options without a 15 minute walk or if you can get the rental bike or scooters to work.

Overpriced for the Quality

First night pool & bar was closed but we were offered $30 food credit for inconvenience which was nice for them to offer. Hotel is outdated. No elevator just stairs. AC in room seemed to not work properly. Service from staff was great I have to give them that. The hotel just needs some updating. For the price we paid it’s definitely overpriced in my opinion.

Charming hotel with great staff

Lovely, smaller sized hotel in a very convenient location close to the beach, shops, restaurants and the best coffee in Waikiki (Kona Coffee Purveyors). Rooms are spacious and very clean, and staff are wonderful.

Oasis Places

The property had a nice atmosphere, but parking was terrible. Either you have valet, which is $45 a night, and the was cheaper than most places. You park on the meter parking our find somewhere along Ala Wai, that's usually packed as well. Overall, service is answered promptly. My first room had a messed up bathroom knob, they switch me to a better room next to the poolside view. People are usually in and out here at night because of the bar services. Friday DJ is there.

It's OK for the price.

It's a cool place but management has no idea how this place needs a deep cleaning. It's clean on top but grubby around every corner and nook. Front desk staff needs a course in guest management as well.
