Possibly my worst stay, ever. Dirty room (got it changed later on), AC doesn't cool the room even at 14 degrees, untrained staff. Only the exterior looks like a 5 star hotel. Everything inside is 3 star (at the most).

There are plenty of other hotels in Bangalore, and I've stayed at ~4 of them. I'd recommend choosing another spot. I had to spend more than an hour sorting out a simple, clerical billing mistake. The billing mistake was completely understandable and caused by a bit of good-old miscommunication, so there is nothing or anyone at fault for this. However, the staff at the Royal Orchid Hotel were incredibly resistant to spending the 5 minutes required to correct the issue and refund me ~$300 (This was not a trivial amount of money). I felt very ignored, felt like I was getting lied to by the staff, and felt that if I didn't stand by the front desk until the issue was resolved, it never would have been.

Seemed to be a nice hotel which has lost its splendour.. the location is a bit inside from the main road.. room service is good .. regular housekeeping is weird.. my room didn’t have a steam iron and I asked the housekeeping guy when i was gettingnon the lift.. the guy just handed me the steam iron in front of the lift.. so there I was, dressed in formals in front of the lift with a steam iron.. looks good on the outside.. had multiple power interruptions during the stay.. seemed to be a 5 star hotel past its glory with dire need for maintenance.. nd for some reason I only had 1 towel to use, with no hand towels

The picture I saw about the room and actual picture , there is vast difference . I requested for a smoking room , I get non smoking . 15% discount on food was written on the confirmation slip , but I had to remind them once realized they are not passing the discount .
