Comfortable stay prior to cruise
All staff were excellent. Enjoyed “Julie” our server in the restaurant in the evening. Only thing they could do differently is provide 2 bars of soap in the bathroom. One for the sink and one for the shower.

Very dissatisfied with holiday inn port of Miami
Our stay was absolutely horrible. After a 13 hour travel day we got to the hotel and we were told our reservation was cancelled and that there were no other rooms in n the whole city of Miami due to a boat show going on. Why do you have the option to pay at the hotel if they can cancel your reservation at 3:00 in the afternoon (check in time) was very disappointed we were homeless for the night due to no fault of our own. Don’t have the option to pay at the hotel if they can cancel if you haven’t paid because you haven’t got there yet.

I will never stay at a holiday inn again.
I booked a room with this hotel in January. I called them to confirm that everything was good for me coming to stay with them that night they told me everything was good. I arrive there with my family after taking a 45 minute Uber ride from Fort Lauderdale. They then proceed to tell me that my reservation has been canceled even though I had marked pay at location. Even the message and emails sent to me confirmed I would pay at the location. Not only did they cancel my reservation they lied to my girlfriend about how we could get a room if we just waited at 2 am. 3 am came around and he gave the room to someone else. We could have taken those 4 hours and gotten us at least a rental to sleep in. The person on duty then proceed to turn the music up loud and walk around the lobby laughing at us because there was no other place to go that late. This happened to several families that night as well. holiday Inn team told me that I was sent emails and messages about updates that is a lie I was not sent anything at all. PLUS they assured me that same day that my booking was solid. My poor kids had to sleep on the hard wooden furniture because this hotel overbooked and they gave my reservation away. They were incredibly rude to us as well.

Horrivel, hotel velho e recepcionistas infelizes
Pior hotel, horrivel. Não volto nunca mais, desde o atendimento ate a acomodação. Os atendentes da recepção são muito mal educados, mal humorados, sem vontade de te atender e resolver o problema, eles não fazem nada. A estrutura do hotel ja começa pelo lado de fora, que nem fachada tem nesse lixo de hotel. A recepção, os corredores, o elevador cheio de sujeira, mal limpo. O quarto velho, caindo aos pedaços, um nojo, não deve ter manutenção em nada. O estacionamento de 50 dolares que eles falam que tem no hotel é tercerizado ao lado do hotel mas se estiver lotado (como foi o nosso caso) azar o seu porque os infelizes da recepção nem fazem questao de ajudar. Propaganda enganosa, reservamos um quarto conjugado (entende-se dois quartos) e chegamos no hotel cansados após 24hrs no aeroporto com a surpresa que nao tinham quartos conjugados no hotel e nao podiam fazer nada para o nosso problema. Pagamos para quarto conjugado e recebemos um quarto simples, eram 6 pessoas na reserva e so tinham 4 toalhas, pedimos mais duas e demorou 6hrs para levem no quarto (e depois de pedir umas 4x para levarem). Aos recepcionistas desse dia, troquem de profissao porque com a falta de empatia e educacao de voces, é melhor ficarem trancados em uma sala fechada. Minha nota é -10 para o hotel, e se voce quiser ter uma boa experiencia, passe longe desse hotel, dessa infeliz experiencia que tivemos

Convenient location
Location was excellent. Getting dropped off at the hotel a little bit dangerous cause it is at a bus drop off spot. But being across the street from all the shops and the goings on loved it. Customer service was excellent. The hotel is a little dated, but understandable. Need better upkeep on bathroom amenities such as the mirror had mold growing out the sides. Looks like it was painted over. The AC unit was leaking water in the vent, but not into the room just to keep the room cool. All in all for where it was located. We would definitely stay there for one more Night Cause it’s by the cruise ships.

He took was teeny! It had a very strange smell. The safe didn’t work. The step into the bathroom is a broken hip waiting to happen. We could not adjust the thermostat to get a happy temperature.

Very very outdated and worn
This hotel is conveniently located near the cruise port, but wow is it in need of updating. I felt like I couldn’t touch my feet to the floor and wondered if our sheets were actually cleaned/replaced from the previous guest.. (they were wrinkled in the center like they’d been slept in before). The shower/bathroom was very run down and hot water was under the cold and cold under the hot. Nearly burned myself trying to brush my teeth. There’s also many homeless hanging out around the hotel entrance. They’re constantly on you for cigarettes and money. The hotel adds gratuity to bar/restaurant charges and doesn’t disclose this. As a foreigner, if you’re not aware that this practice exists and ask, then the hotel is doing an excellent job of swindling more money from you. Normally, tips are discretionary and paid for good service. I ordered two bottled beers to take to the room and to hand them over and charge my card was an almost $5 tip. Was handed a receipt that has a space for hand written tip, no itemized form with costs etc. Asked if I was already charged for tip and she told me it’s automatic. (Then was not disclose or hand me a slip and pen to add additional tip)
