It’s your $

7a-11p customer service was great. If these individuals worked at a different hotel I would come back. The outside patio was really nice and the inside atrium was beautiful except the old furniture. The room furniture is old. The room smell like it was musky and closed up. Day shift did send the maintenance man to my room to spray but apparently it’s in the carpet, sofa or curtains. I left to purchase my on spray. The entrance light to my room didn’t work, the coffee maker didn’t work and was told I had to wait until 7a to get coffee even though I was up @ 5:30. So I had to leave the both days to go get coffee. The door entering the shower is on the opposite side of the handles so you have to reach around the glass that don’t move to turn the water on. I prefer getting wet inside the shower not outside the shower. I really want to eat at the restaurant but after experiencing all outside food (nasty) my taste buds decided to eat fruit the rest of my trip. All I can tell new comer to if you are particular about spending you $ and n food and stay you might want to do some serious research before coming to Montgomery, AL. There is a lot of history here tho. This is just my experience. To each its own. God Bless

The Room

Didn't have any towels, the hot water wasn't that hot and when the shower kids running the tub was filling up with water like I was taking a shower bath.

The baggage carts were all broke, all of the ice machines were broke, their printer didn’t work, the lobby floor and the elevator floors were dirty. The room seemed clean, but the carpet is really old and brown so it was hard to tell. Staff were all very friendly

The staff was very courteous and professional. We arrived past midnight to a room that was one towel set short and coffee maker not in the room. When I let the front desk staff member know, she immediately addressed the issue and resolved our needs. The two things I would recommend is change out the air conditioning system to central air as the system is extremely loud and the elevators doors are extremely loud.

The property is a very nice place to stay. It was clean and up to date. The beds were comfortable, and the location was convenient. The only trouble that we had was at check in and the staff was not accommodating to us. we rented ten total rooms for our high school baseball team to stay. I paid for everything in full at reservation. upon arrival they wanted a credit card and a separate deposit for each room which was 50 dollars. I explained to them that we are a school system, and we do not have credit cards and that we paid everything in full and were not aware that they would need that. so, we ended up having to put it on one of our parent's credit cards or they were not going to let us check in. When you have certain situations, they should be able to accommodate the guest. I told her that we could sign something stating that we are school system and we would be responsible for any damages etc. We were at the front desk for over an hour trying to get things situated and we were on a tight schedule having to go play ball. Other than that it was a great experience staying at the Doubletree Downtown Montgomery. Thanks, Courtney Davis
