You cannot stay here. The hotel workers are on strike. No housekeeping, front desk service only 12pm-5pm, no pool bar, restaurants bare boned. Employees still working are unfamiliar with property (brought in to keep it running).
On top of these more minor details, the strikers mean BUSINESS. They have drums, they have megaphones, they have air horns. They chant and picket loudly from 6am-10pm at ALL public parts of the property. This means all entrances, this means the lagoon, this means the public beach that is next to the pools. You can hear them at surrounding hotels, which means right now the decibel level is untenable.
Our family made it 1 night before we realized how quiet the rest of Waikiki was.
Feel free to remove this review after the strike ends - as the property looked cool and this review is so topical. But I hope hotels.com lets this stay up while the strike is ongoing because the strike is important -- but it also seriously degrades this hotel experience -- and I want people to know.
