    Wyngate is my go to hotel in High Point

    I have stayed at this location several times while visiting relatives. The location is very convenient with several places to eat nearby and gas stations. It is in a safe location and prices are very reasonable. Room was clean and comfortable. Having microwave and mini frig was convenient. Due to covid the breakfast area was not open, but a bagged breakfast was available. There was a Biscuit King restaurant close by that had good breakfast.

    Good service but not a clean room.

    Device was good but room cleanliness and overall feel was not good the minute my wife walked into the room She felt like it was not clean. We left to get dinner and returned to take a shower to find juvenile roaches in the bathroom. We proceeded to gather our bags abs leave immediately. They redid agree to refund our room fees and apologize. We did get the refund email the following day.

    The manager of this location removed his mask every time we spoke to him. Our room was dirty and there were dead leaves on the window sill. Did not inspire confidence in this time of Covid. Luckily I travel with disinfectant to clean everything.!Nothing was special or notably positive about this property.

    The building looks new from outside but inside it really old and not taken care of. The bath tub have cracks in it the path room fan sounds so loud you think there is a helicopter taking off. The elevator is so old I was scared to use it again and the keys kept loosing theire program so evertime I walked out I had to ask front desk to Re program it again.

    Staff their was very nice and pleasing. Of course due to Covid didn’t get to enjoy any amenities that came with the room. The only thing I notice was a little hair left around the outside of the bath tub, but I just cleaned it up. The rest of the room was up to par and I love their fireplace. And last thing, the window unit was missing a big piece off of it which allowed air to blow in from the outside, but I threw a towel over it, which fixed the problem.

    My Stay

    The fireplace did not work - the lotion bottle provided had been opened and obviously used. It had not been replaced with a fresh one. Whatever I asked for was provided promptly and the staff I encountered were very courteous.
