I've stayed at the Grand Stark twice, both 3 day business trips. While i'm really fond of the rooms, the service has been routinely pretty poor. Starting with the fact that i can't get through to them on the phone for anything. Whenever it does miraculously decide to connect (usually after 20-40 minutes of consecutive trying) the staff will lament that their phone systems are indeed still not working well but have no idea when it will be fixed. Out of 3 times of asking for a wake-up call, i've only ever actually gotten one once. And ordering dinner from a delivery app resulted in my food sitting at the front desk for an age getting cold while i foolishly assumed it would be brought up by the staff, and they didn't bother to call me to let me know to come get it either.
The rooms themselves are really pleasant and well appointed. The bed linen is nice, good pillows, and i love the natural hardwood floors. And the valet parking is convenient and fast.
Shame that the poor service is likely what will make me book somewhere else next time.
