This place is filthy. Towels and sheets had stains. The stairwell is gross. There was a sticky foreign substance on the night stand and I don’t even want to know what it was because it got on my hands. Bathroom had old paint stains on the floor and the corners were marred dirt and hair.
The shower knob would only pull up halfway so the rest of the water goes out the bath spout causing crappy water pressure.
There was what looked like a bullet hole in the window. Because of this, all traffic and conversations from the SloPitch pub could be clearly heard.
When we turned the heater on, it started smoking and reeked like burning paper and metal- enough smoke to set off the smoke alarm (at midnight) so we were afraid to heat the room for fear that the sprinklers would go off.
The lightbulb in the lamp was a circle and had to be plugged into some weird DIY contraption of wiring- but it kept falling out, so we gave up.
Stayed 2 nights and didn’t get fresh towels- just a packet of crappy coffee. The coffeemaker had coffee rings from the last guest so it definitely was not rinsed or cleaned.
The pull on the dresser drawer popped a screw so it was dangling- but it didn’t matter since the drawer was broken and off track.
Lobby had the strong smell of body odor lingering for a while- not sure if it was the clerk or a guest.
I recommend going to the Morning Glory Inn, which is 2 doors down. It’ll cost an extra $10 but at least it’s clean.
