I recently stayed at the Hilton Kings Cross Hotel and wanted to share my mixed experience as a wheelchair user.
Firstly, I must commend the wetroom; it was fantastic and designed with accessibility in mind. Having such a spacious and user-friendly shower area made my stay much more comfortable. However, I did encounter a couple of issues that affected my overall experience.
One significant drawback was the dim lighting in the wet room. While I appreciate a calm atmosphere, it was challenging to see clearly, especially when using the amenities. Good lighting is crucial for safety and ease of use in such spaces, so this was a bit disappointing.
Additionally, I had trouble controlling the air conditioning in my room effectively. The temperature wasn't what I hoped for, and adjusting it was not as straightforward as it should have been. It would have been nice to have a more user-friendly way to manage the room temperature, particularly for someone with specific needs.
Overall, while I appreciated the accessibility features, improvements in lighting and air conditioning control would enhance the experience for guests like me. I hope the hotel takes this feedback on board for future stays.
