Nice service and the location is compact. The room is too small for 2 travellers. The sound insulation of room is poor as i heard the TV sound from adjacent room in middle of night. It needed to wait a long time for hot water for showering.

Sentralt og rent men lite, kronglete og uten heis

Det beste med dette hotellet var utsikten, vi så rett opp på Edinburgh castle og det var fantastisk. Men opp 4 etasjer i en trang trapp med to store kofferter var ikke like fantastisk. Rommet var knøttlite men rent. Badet var så lite at man hadde føttene i dusjen når man satt på toalettet. Savnet tannglass. Manglet også små håndklær, etterspurte det i resepsjonen første kveld, de skulle komme innom med det men det skjedde ikke. Sentral beliggenhet men litt lite komfort. Der var heller ikke aircondition som det sto, bare en vifte på gulvet.

Very basic

On the plus side the hotel is handy for things to do in central Edinburgh and was clean enough, I booked it a year ago as we were going to the tattoo and even then it was the cheapest I could get at £172 for a room,I knew it had no window but didn’t realise how small and basic it would be, The double bed was tiny and we had to climb over each other to get into and out of bed as it fits wall to wall with no space either end, the room is so small one of us had to sit on the bed while the other dressed, there is no room for 2 people to move about and the shower / toilet area is very small The bed and pillows were really hard and uncomfortable and neither of us had a good sleep, If it was cheaper and you only need one night it might be ok but any longer would be too claustrophobic, I wouldn’t book it again as I’d rather pay the extra for a more comfortable stay,

Edinburgh Tatoo 2025

We knew room was small but did not appreciate the difficulties this would cause. Bed was clesn and well made but seemed to be on a slight slant which made it uncomfortable. Staff were very friendly and keen to help.changed temperature of room for comfort seversl times. Hotel sits in a good position right on Princess St.

Poor very poor

We stayed in Edinburgh for the night, having seen the military tattoo. Our box ( because thats what it was) just wasn't what we had hoped it would be. We knew it was going to be small but, this room was not big enough for 1 person let alone 2. If you had a suitcase youd have to store it in the bathroom. If you needed the loo in the night youve got to climb over the other person to get to the loo. The bathroom was ridiculously small. Ive seen more room on a boat. No air con, we had to go and ask at reception to turn it up as it was freezing in there. It was just too small and yet we paid an over inflated price for it. Would not recommend this place at all unless your on your own and under 5ft tall.

Small space

Ok, am 6'4 did kick the bottom wall a few times. Room was very warm and no control over this. But it was inly for ine night and you do get what you pay for.
